The print project
THE BRIEF
The objective of this project is to develop a botanical print specifically tailored for home furnishings. Drawing inspiration from the tender and delicate waterlily, scientifically referred to as "Nymphaea," I set out to explore and manipulate various shapes, colors, forms and textures, with respect to their scale. "Nymphaea," is a seamless botanical print suitable for application on wallpaper and other home furnishings.
MOODBOARD
Sketching was done next to study the shapes and forms and various design styles were explored.
Through this project I explored a distinct artistic style, characterized by its quirky and playful nature. The final prints were produced by means of screen printing where I explored the technique on 5 different 18” by 18” screens.
