THE BRIEF
The objective of this project is to study the upcoming trends from the trend report for 2022 provided by asian paints - “Hope you're well” and design a print collection for home furnishings. The surface development process focussed on trend study followed by creating boards and developing them into surfaces.
TREND REPORT ANALYSIS
The trend report shows how the post-pandemic era has witnessed a notable shift in societal attitudes towards mental health, with a positive normalisation of seeking help. There is an increased awareness of our mental well-being, recognition of triggering factors, and acknowledgment of its impact on various aspects of our lives, both at home and in the workplace. Social media has played a significant role in destigmatizing mental health issues, as influential individuals openly discuss this topic, contributing to its normalization.

In the post-pandemic era, there has been a notable shift in our attitudes and appreciation towards nature as a source of peacefulness and healing. Art, in its various forms, is found abundantly within nature, with its ability to nourish and restore our well-being. From the intricate details of a leaf to the vastness of a breathtaking landscape, nature unfolds as a grand canvas that continually captivates our senses.
This newfound awareness has prompted us to observe and cherish the subtleties that were once overlooked, allowing us to find tranquility and serenity amidst life's uncertainties. Ultimately, immersing ourselves in the artistry of nature keeps our minds in a state of calm and harmony.
TEXTURE EXPLORATIONS
From the numerous texture explorations and tactile surfaces, we carefully identified the ones that harmoniously resonated with our initial inspiration and keywords. These selected textures were then transformed into seamless repeats, and we meticulously applied a curated colour palette transforming them into a harmonious collection.
